Privacy Policy

This website is designed to not intrude upon your privacy.

My philosophy as a person and as a website owner is that intrusions into people’s privacy tend to be counterproductive. The well-being of website users and indeed of the internet and of society as a whole depends upon very strongly respecting and protecting the freedom, privacy, property, rights, dignity, and value of all people.

I have set up the SSL security system of this site to forbid many different possible forms of tracking and privacy violations. When officially tested for security quality through SSL Labs (on 2021-10-05) this website received a security rating of A+. (Google, by comparison, has a security rating of only B as of 2021-10-05.)

However, in order to construct and maintain this website I rely upon 3rd party plugins, themes, and other software. I am not a web developer though, so it is always possible that there are things happening in the 3rd party software that I am not aware of.

I do make strong efforts to delete unused plugins, to keep the site clean, to minimize the amount of 3rd party software my site runs, and to think carefully about whether or not any given prospective 3rd party software seems sufficiently trustworthy and privacy-friendly to use.

As such, since it is impossible for me to be 100% sure what is happening on the site, by using this website you agree to not hold me liable for whatever may occur through 3rd party systems. I’m just one person and I tend to be very stretched thin for time and resources. All I can do is my best, within pragmatism.

It is always my intention to behave with the utmost respect for all the boundaries and rights of every user of my site though, and thus I do my best to ensure that your privacy, security, and freedoms are maximized.
